A smooth holiday starts with clear decisions before the suitcase comes out.
Check the whole trip, not just the headline price
Write down the dates, departure airport, room type, baggage, transfers and meal plan. A lower starting price may not include the details that matter to your group. Compare the total cost after optional extras.
Match the destination to your travel style
A quiet beach break and a city itinerary need different locations. Look at transfer time, nearby transport and how easy it will be to reach activities you actually want to do. Read recent traveller feedback for practical details such as noise and accessibility.
Understand flexibility before paying
Read the current booking terms for changes, cancellation, deposits and final payment. Check passport validity and entry requirements with official authorities. Keep screenshots or copies of the booking summary and the policy that applied when you paid.
Pack with the itinerary in mind
Make a short list for documents, medication, chargers, weather-appropriate clothing and any items your accommodation does not provide. TUI publishes its own packing checklist, but adapt it to your destination and airline allowance.
